About the Gurus
Smt. Vid. Deepthi G H and Smt. Thrupthi Hanumanthaiah are the artistic visionaries behind Natyadharmi Nrithya Kalamandira, Bangalore. Both sisters are highly acclaimed exponents of Bharatanatyam, known for their emotive depth, graceful footwork, and commitment to preserving the classical art form.
Born into a family deeply rooted in music and the arts in Mysore, they were initiated into dance at an early age by their mother, Smt. Indrani. Their maternal grandfather, Sri R.Puttaswamy, served as a court musician to His Royal Highness Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, enriching their artistic heritage.
Their dance journey blossomed under the tutelage of Guru Sunanda Devi and Guru Narmada, and was further refined under the renowned Guru Padmini Ramachandran, Director of Natya Priya, Bangalore.
Over the years, Deepthi and Thrupthi have performed at numerous prestigious festivals and cultural events across India and abroad.
An ‘A’ grade artist with Doordarshan Kendra and a Vidwath degree holder from the Karnataka State Secondary Education Board, Deepthi has received a State Level Scholarship from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy. With over two decades of performance experience and more than 400 performances, she has also choreographed ballets and corporate shows, and served as an examiner for Junior and Senior dance examinations.
Beyond her artistic journey, Deepthi excels as a Service Delivery Manager at IBM, beautifully balancing a thriving corporate career with her dedication to dance.
Kum. Thrupthishri Hanumanthaiah
Alongside her mastery in Bharatanatyam, Thrupthi was crowned Miss South India, reflecting her grace and talent beyond the stage. She brings her creative energy into her professional role as a successful HR professional at Oracle, embodying the perfect blend of art and corporate excellence.
